I really enjoyed the introduction to garage band. The new on-line text resources are great. I'm excited to go back to the classroom and begin using this new technology!

Thanks for another relaxed yet extremely informative day. There is so much out there that I don't have time to find. I appreciate all that your team does to provide us with great activities for our students.

I loved the idea of using podcasts to record student's reading. It is a great tool for showing student's progress with fluency. I will use it during parent conferences. I can share reading level and have parent listen to the podcast. Also love the websites.

Today I found that the most useful items that I learned were the ideas for helping fluency be more fun and engaging. I know that they will have a higher level of learning and excitement with the ideas brought forth.
I am going to try keeping a running record with my students on garage band with timed fluency and poetry. I also am going to have groups read their readers theater into garageband and create a podcast for other students to listen to during silent read time.
I think that this class was very useful for me. I think that all teachers should have a chance to attend things like this. What would be great is to have a session every trimester instead of twice a year. Thanks for your hard work.

Using the podcasts to practice and evaluate students' fluency will be helpful. I am also excited to use some of the online books with my children. I hope they don't replace me. Thanks to Jane and the coaches for a fun and educational workshop.

I enjoyed learning about doing fluency work on Garage Band. I think that it is a great way to get students excited and engaged in reading and working on fluency skills. I am looking forward to trying this with my first grade students. I also thought that it was very useful being able to explore some of the literature websites.

Another great class. Thanks for not ever treating us rookies like rookies. It makes the learning experience so much more effective. That is the most useful to me. Also the multiple resources and intro to Garage Band was very helpful.

The most useful thing that we did today was the garage band recording, so that we can do podcasting. I've done it before, but didn't know all the other things to do with it. Awesome! I will be going back to the classroom and using garage band for my reading groups, I hope. Suggestions: Keep working to let us have more days like this! SHEL

Thanks for another great day today Jane. I really enjoyed using Garage Band to help with reading fluency. It was also very helpful to see all of the resources that you pulled together for us. I hope to use many of the new ideas presented today. It was so fun to have time to talk to other teachers about technology.

The reading websites were MOST useful. I will be searching particular sites/ books ALL weekend for individual students to read next week on their particular levels. The videos were EXCEPTIONAL... great attention grabbers. You tech coaches are like CIA types, checking on us, and helping each other. I appreciate all that you do. Thank you thank you for this day.
